From Intern to Full-time Employee: Celebrating Two Years at THREAD
Working in clinical research presents an exciting opportunity to be a part of something impactful and life-changing. With more advanced technologies in the market, changes to drug development, and the industry’s enormous growth, it is a great time to be a part of this dynamic landscape.
Through the years, THREAD has offered internships to allow students and new graduates to gain real-world training and work experiencein the decentralized clinical trials space. Being surrounded by great managers, subject experts, and some of the industry's most well-known thought-leaders can make all the difference with your experience and growth at a company.
We just celebrated Jordan Procuniar’s first year at THREAD as a Project Coordinator but he started his THREAD journey as an intern on the Delivery Team over the summer of his junior year in college. He became a full-time employee at THREAD shortly after graduating. Jordan has been instrumental in our efforts to improve the customer experience and make it more efficient for participants.
Jordan said he always knew he wanted to do something, “both meaningful and interesting, and working in decentralized clinical trials (DCTs) did both. It has been really fulfilling to be a part of the effort to make clinical research more efficient and inclusive." He’s said that his favorite part of his job is, “consulting with customers on how to best use our platform to improve their clinical trial experience for participants.”
After working here for over the past two years, Jordan said that it has been exciting to see how fast THREAD has grown and that, “we’ve come a long way in our services and offerings and I’m looking forward to being able to solve more unique and interesting problems.” During his transition from intern to employee, he mentioned how the THREAD leadership team took the time to guide and mentor him in his new role, something you might not expect from a company growing so fast.
It’s an exciting time to join the decentralized clinical trials industry and be a part of something truly astonishing. If you are thinking about or looking at a career in decentralized clinical trials, he shared that, "you must be ready to collaborate” and be prepared to work with people around the globe.
